Food Recovery in Marin County: By picking up excess fresh food from businesses and immediately delivering it to nonprofits serving Marin’s most vulnerable children, adults, and families, we address the critical issues of hunger, food waste, and global warming.
Community Spotlight: food-recipientsSan Geronimo Presbyterian Church
Volunteers at San Geronimo Presbyterian Church., led by ExtraFood Volunteer Chloe, act as a “hub” for us in West Marin. Not only do church volunteers distribute food at the church to local families, but volunteers also relay food to West Marin Senior Services, Food For Families, and other organizations up and down the coast, from Muir Beach to Stinson to Pt. Reyes to Tomales. Along with our partners at San Geronimo Valley Community Center, the church plays a vital role in helping many individuals and families who struggle with hunger, isolation, and the “food desert” in West Marin. http://www.sgpchurch.org/
